I’m sharing a fun, relaxed photo shoot from last year that I photographed in Mt Albert.
Made Up by Ruth and I met at at Viv’s home and while Ruth was doing Viv’s hair and makeup beautifully, I got to play and meet with Busta the cute westie x schnauzer. Once my mobile studio was set up in her lounge, I managed to quickly get my must have shots with Busta. He was a right model!
Many chicken treats and funny squeaky sounds later, all my studio type photographs were taken. Viv changed into something a little more casual for the second part of the photoshoot. The 2nd part is on location, usually close by, outdoors to get more documentary style photographs, of a doggy playing fetch, running in his natural element and to capture their special bond together with fewer posed photographs.
For Viv and Busta’s, we went to Mt Albert. We also found an amazing spot for photographing against the Auckland skyline here!
You can tell that Mt Albert is their absolute favourite place in the world by Busta’s photos where he’s lying in the grass…. throwing face into the wind eyes closed with not a care in the world. What a happy dog!? Such a simple moment, but one that we can all live by. Little things in life, and the shere joy of being alive and being able to go for a walk with our favourite person/ dog is what makes us happy.
