Last year we had some amazing events with the Yellow Lab family. Should we be doing some of these again for 2023?
Highlights:
Lots of families have been coming back for photoshoots. When kids get older, when there’s a new family member and my favourite, when you bring your puppy for portraits and come back a couple of months later once your adult dog is full grown.
The halloween dog party with Otiboaty Boutique was THE event of the year! Get your costumes ready and save the date for Saturday 28 Oct 11am at Onepoto Domain Auckland.
Together with Saving Hope Foundation we raised nearly $700 for rescues dogs in New Zealand with doggy Christmas photos.
The Yellow Lab dogwalk and brekkie meetup facebook group has grown and continues to meetup monthly. Join the group to see all upcoming events.
Popular posts with various dog lifestyle content for NZ’ers like NZ pet portrait artists, how to celebrate your dog’s birthday party, exceptional dog walks (great for taking photos at), dog friendly eateries and much more.
One of my dog photos won an award, bronze with distinction from Sue Bryce’s Portrait Masters.

pet photography with cats, rats & other animals
Ragdoll cats who travel well and go for walks visited my studio in Hobsonville Auckland made for stunning portraits and artwork. Most times when I photograph cats, it’s on location at their own home where they feel comfortable.
I love to get all kinds of pets in your family photos. Like this rat who loves to hide in his human sister’s hair. This certainly made for unique wall art.
before & after
It’s incredible when clients want to have their puppies photographed and come back for another shoot once their dog is an adult. It’s so cool to put the similar photos next to each other and turn it into a wall series to see just how they grow and change.

Flower wreaths
I love to photograph dogs in flower wreaths. See my FAQ on why I do or where I got my inspiration from. My clients love these portraits!
I had return clients who wanted to have a flower wreath photo made with a new family member to add to their flower portrait series.
Black and white dog photography
I love a good black and white! Especially in portraits that have a bit more emotion in them. With every photoshoot, I usually make a few photos black and white.
Family photographs
Couple, family, children photoshoots with and without your dog & pets. Most take place in my studio space in Hobsonville Point Auckland, but we can shoot at your home or favourite park too. Travel fee applies.
Families like to have these portraits made before adult kids move away, as children grow bigger, when they get new pets, or when one of their dogs are getting old or getting on in age.
You and your dog
Portraits of you and your furbaby. Hair and makeup is available before you step into the spotlight with your pooch. It’s an experience my clients love - they say it boosts their confidence when they’re in front of the camera, plus they take their made up selves out for a fancy lunch after.
