I usually photograph newborn babies before the age of two weeks new. Helen and Chris weren't planning on doing a newborn photo shoot, but once little Charlotte was born, they saw how quickly she grows and changes and decided to document this special time in their new family's life with portraits. Charlotte is already four weeks new in these, so the photograph where her and her mom is looking at the camera is going to be a favorite on the wall next to their family portrait artmount.
I always ask my clients to put out a special toy, mom or dad's old toy or something with special significance. Flopsy bunny is a tribute to Helen's mom who loved to read Peter Rabbit to them as kids.
It is so special to see Charlotte next to this little bunny - it will be fun for Helen to photograph Charlotte next to it when she's one and two years new.
