Stacey’s photoshoot was extra special. She brought her mom, daughter AND Australian Cattle dog cross with to her dog photo session in Hobsonville Point Auckland. We arranged to have her mom’s hair and makeup done too as a special treat. We got some amazing mother and daughter photographs and some beautiful shots of the three of them, a generation photograph if you’d like.
I just love the outcome! There is just something so special inside these that I’ve managed to capture.
The way Roxanne cups her gran’s face in her hand…. I make suggestions on how to sit for your portrait and what to do, but there is a magic in love that I can’t make myself. And what is so funny… is I positioned Stacey, Roxanne and Dee together, posing nicely, and then it’s the big hugging photographs that I printed. Because there is just so much love in these. It’s the kind of love that when you hug, you nearly climb into the other person, cheeks squashed, eyes closed. Happy, safe, loved.
And let’s just quickly chat about the mom and daughter photo. Fifth photo. Stacey had her hair and makeup beautifully done at the photo shoot. It was time for the mom and daughter photo, and Roxanne kept throwing her arms around her mommy’s neck. I’m a total perfectionist when I shoot, so I’d keep tucking her hair out from underneath her arms. And it’ll happen again ;-D…… and again and again.
You know what? That is exactly the love of a child. The kind of love that doesn’t care what you look like, what you’re wearing or what you’ve achieved. It’s the unconditional love of a girl who loves her mom with all of her and it shines through in her body language. There is just so much love for the black and white family portraits right now.
I have LOVED creating these for you Stacey! I am so lucky to be creating art like this for lovely families like yours.
