It’s end of October 2021, Aucklanders are dying to get out of lockdown and a little taste of getting back to the good old days/ a normal life where we could be out and about without masks or fear of Covid.
A little more normal life is not yet possible, but we’re allowed to meet up with another household for outdoor picnics. Which means, as long as we social distance, family photographers are allowed to safely shoot outside!

Lockdown photoshoot special
Let’s shoot outdoors at Rifle Range Amphitheatre in Hobsonville Point. I’ll bring a few props to sit on, my big soft box flash and we can make stunning portraits for you that you will love. There will also be a small Christmas set up so you can make a family / doggy Christmas photo.
I’ve created a special event where you and and your pup spend an hour with me in a mini-shoot.

A full Yellow Lab shoot is usually 2 to 3 hours long.
The reason it is so long is because I craft a series of pictures with you and your dog and we work on creating different pieces of artwork. You usually walk away from the shoot with 10 to 20 high-end portraits, each custom-made to you and your pup. Each tells a different story.
That’s why I have a special way of presenting the photos to you, so that you can chose the story that most speaks to you.
The way I see it is that you are my “paint”. I use my lens to capture different sides of you that speak the loudest about who you are. I pose you in a certain way and use different techniques that I’ve learnt over the years to make the picture capture the essence of the moment and pull out your personality and have it immortalised as a photograph, forever.
A mini-shoot doesn’t reduce that quality or the essence of the picture. It just means we have less time to create lots of “stories”. You generally walk away with 5-10 beautiful stories from the day that I present to you one to two weeks later. Which means you’ll have your portraits in time for Xmas, and you can also use some of your photographs as gift prints for family members.
A Yellow Lab experience is not like other photoshoots where you are just snapped, photoshopped and you have 100s of different pictures that look pretty, but don’t say anything.

You can also bring your small / Teen humans or your whole family for an updated portrait.
You can choose to have plain studio type photos for a more classic look, or you can spend all your photoshoot time with the Christmas props. OR you can have most of your shoot in one of the scenes, and only 1 or 2 photos made in the other.

Remember to bring your matching xmas pjs! It will also be stunning for the family to wear their Sunday best. A sparkly dress is perfect for this.
