Fiona and Mollie's photoshoot didn't go entirely like a Yellow Lab photoshoot usually does. And I am so happy that it didn't because I love the outcome!
Fiona wanted to have her and Mollie documented at home, without any backdrops or plain colors, kind of like them in their natural habitat at home :-). She wanted them to be photographed exactly how they usually are in their favourite spaces.
After Lizzy (@lizzycarmineartist) got Fiona ready for the spotlight, we did some lifestyle type photos around the house. Then, we headed off to this pair's second favourite place in the whole world: Auckland domain. You probably won't believe me, but little Mollie is such a fit little dog! Come rain or shine, these two visit every day and sometimes run up to 7km in one go!
While making these photographs and spending time behind my Mac editing printing and creating prints for Fiona's home, I really just LOVE what I do. It makes me so happy that I get to document this absolute pure love and bond between people and their beloved pets. There are times I stop in between editing, and I see that utter love that I loudly go "AWE...."
