There is something that happens in my line of work as pet photographer that breaks my heart.

Picture this: a potential client reaches out and says they want to book a photoshoot really soon because their doggy is old & poorly, but they want something to be able to remember them by.
I get back to them same day, we agree to shoot that very weekend, and the next morning my client emails me and cancel their photoshoot saying their doggy has passed.
It makes me so sad when it happens.💔
My heart breaks when this happens. I wish we could go back in time to make something special for you so your beloved pet could be remembered forever.
The heartache & break of losing your best pal is something I don’t wish anyone to go through. Unfortunately our pets don’t live as long as we do.
I’m sharing this, so that if the time comes, it’s not too late for you & that you have an epic happy portrait to remember your sweet furbaby by.

Ebony is a senior dog, you can tell by the grey around her muzzle. Her mom Natalie will tell you that she’s getting on in age. They were one of the lucky ones to have their family documented as is now. And Ebony is still going strong! So they will always remember their life now and can look back at it easily when life eventually changes.

There is so much happy and love in these portraits. It fills me with joy and purpose that I can make this for you. Not because you will lose your dog one day, but because your dog means so much to you. Because you’re best pals and you want them to live forever.

On the day of their shoot, Nat treated herself to hair and makeup (by Seb). While I made portraits of her hubby Tom and Ebony, Nat got all dolled up before she stepped into the spotlight with her fam.

These are a few of my favs from their time in front of my lens
